REST Meetings

About REST: Resources, Education, Support, Together

REST educational groups began with a foundation in a Community Reinforcement and Family Training (CRAFT) based approach, focusing on skills and strategies designed to improve communication, set healthy boundaries, and use positive reinforcement to support Loved Ones impacted by substance use disorder (SUD). Recognizing that no single approach can address every situation, we have thoughtfully and intentionally expanded our scope to include other transformative programming such as the Invitation to Change, model from the Center for Motivation and Change and Reflective Listening. Our ever-evolving program allows our groups to grow and explore new techniques and perspectives, creating a dynamic and supportive space for learning.

These groups are designed to complement the clinical CRAFT model, not replace it. REST groups provide a caring and inclusive environment for families to explore, learn, and support one another while navigating the complexities of addiction. While clinical CRAFT is typically focused on getting a loved one into treatment, REST groups are here for all stages of addiction. Whether your loved one is at risk, actively using, or in recovery, these groups offer a supportive place for you.

In REST, participants are empowered to determine how to apply what they learn to their unique situations. These groups meet families where they are, offering a compassionate and supportive environment that recognizes each journey is different. REST helps families learn about tools and strategies that can make a difference, allowing them to discover what will work best for their specific circumstances. This is not a space where anyone is told what to do, but rather a collaborative and empathetic environment to explore compassionate ways to positively influence a loved one and foster healing for oneself at the same time. Through shared experiences, ongoing education, and open dialogue, we prioritize personal growth, resilience, and the power of connection to help families move forward with hope and confidence.

We genuinely care about you and your journey, and we hope you’ll join us!
