People in remission from chronic and treatable conditions such as substance use or mental health disorders may seek flexibility from current or future employers to help them sustain their wellness and recovery. In some cases, job seekers may request a reasonable accommodation to increase their ability to perform their role at work. This 60-minute webinar provides an overview of employee knowledge of and how the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) clarifies employer obligations and reduces barriers to employment opportunities based on health conditions.
Certified peer workers such as recovery coaches and peer specialists are the target audience for this webinar.
Attendees may receive 1.0 credit hours of continuing education if applicable in your state.
